Impatiens is my mom's favorite flower. A few years ago, we had gotten white, and I think pink, and red impatiens. We planted them around this tree stump that we had at the corner of our house. They thrived in that spot. The red and the pink impatiens got destroyed thanks to the dogs ha ha. The white one had gotten so big. Mom loved that it was growing so big and we didn't really have to do anything. We are just not good with flowers, plants, or gardening in general. As much as we try, we just don't have that "green thumb" as they say.
Fast forward to summer 2020. We bought a few flowers. We had bought a couple baberton daisies, impatiens, and a couple others that I can't remember. One morning, it had rained overnight, and it was so bright and sunny. I went outside and looked at the flowers like I always do. I looked at the magenta impatiens and it had raindrops still on it. I thought it would be really neat to have a photo of a flower with raindrops on it. I went inside and grabbed my camera.
In editing, again, I just didn't like the surrounding background and I clicked 'Select Subject' in Adobe Photoshop and inversed it. Then I made the background black. I added some vibrance, texture, contrast, clarity, dehaze, and some sharpening.
That is the story of the Magenta Impatien and how it became my mom's favorite flower. See you all next week. Hope you're all doing well.
