I guess being born close to the fall season gives me this natural love for all things autumn. The changing colors of the leaves, leaves on the ground, the change from the hot of summer to cooler air (not too cool though), and yes, sunflowers. We had gotten a sunflower plant towards the end of the summer. It was sitting outback, and I really wanted to take photos of it. I tried that night, but it was getting too close to dark and it wasn't working out. The next bright morning, I went out and took photos.
You're probably wondering at this point, "Why is she always taking pictures in her backyard?". Part of the answer is flowers and plants come along and I want to take photos. Another part is I just don't know places to go. Some places don't allow photos. Others want over $1,000 for a photography pass. I'm sure paying for the photography pass would be worth it but right now that is a bit out of the question. So, a lot of my photos are taken in my backyard or house over time of flowers that have been bought and/or grown.
I edited this one and gave it to my grandmother for Christmas. It kind of commemorates the time she planted a sunflower in our backyard. That is a story I will have to tell another day, and yes, I have photos ha ha. Editing was just a pretty simple process. Just adjusted the colors, vibrance, exposure, and the darkness of the center of the sunflower.
That is all I have for you this week. Next week, I'm not sure if there will be a blog or not. Haven't decided. I am working on what the next print release will be. If you don't see a blog next week, take care of yourselves. I'll see you when I see you. And as always...
Go after your dreams. Whatever they may be.
