Photo of the Week - White Hydrangea

White Hydrangea

This is another one that came about during quarantine in 2020. My sister was supposed to have been on vacation for two weeks, but it got cancelled. We spent the two weeks watching movies together, which I probably would not have watched on my own. I barely watch tv or movies unless is Harry Potter, The Munsters, racing, or something else. Not knocking tv or movies, I am just not A.) not into it and B.) don't have the attention span to really get into a show or movie. I've rambled enough. Back to the story. We had a white hydrangea plant sitting on the table between the two recliner chairs. During a break from our movie watching, I decided I was going to something a little more productive with my time. I got my camera out, brought the hydrangea into the dining room, placed it in front of the window, and started taking photos of it. My original edits were not that great. I just didn't know where to take or how I wanted the composition of the photo. I recently learned a new editing technique and went back to these photos and worked on them some more. They turned out so much better than the originals. This photo is even currently the 'face' of Dawn Evermore Photography. I added linear gradient to brighten the right side a bit to make the color more even. I adjusted the texture, lights, darks, highlights, shadows, white of the flower, exposure, vibrance, and saturation. I went to the color mixer panel and adjusted the saturation of the green. And with that, this is where I will leave you this week. Until next week!

Go after your dreams. Whatever they may be.
