Photo of the Week - Pink Tulip

Pink Tulip

The story behind the Pink Tulip photo. This photo came to be probably about when quarantine started. I’ll have to go back and look at the metadata to see exactly when it was taken. My sister had bought this flower and we had it sitting in front of this window in our dining room. This window gets a lot of sunlight coming in through it and with the white curtain I just thought it looked really pretty there. And then knowing me I just had to grab my camera and start taking photos. It doesn’t matter what it is, if I have the itch to take a photo of something, I am going to take photos of it. A lot of them. I took a lot of photos with a lot of angles ha-ha. I got done taking the photos, looked through them all, and chose this one. I uploaded it to Adobe Lightroom. Adjusted the brightness, lights, highlights, darks, shadows, vibrance, texture, saturation and hue of some colors. And there you have it, the Pink Tulip photo was brought to life. It is not much of a story but that’s the story behind it. I am really proud of this one and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I am going to try and make this a weekly thing with my photos. Sometimes I may just post the photo alone. If any are posted that way, it is just because there’s not a backstory there. I take photos and edit them because I enjoy it and it provides a sense of peace when I am doing that. I get lost in the process and I love it. I love to create. I do this mostly for me and if others love what I create it’s a bonus. A cherry on top of a nice ice cream sundae. Alright my awkwardness is starting to show through, so I am going to bow out now. Exit stage left. See y’all next week.

Go after your dreams. Whatever they may be.
