Remember in my first Photo of the Week blog that some photos would not have some great backstory? Well.... we have reached one of those photos. There’s no interesting backstory for this one. And that’s okay! Basically, we had this beautiful floral arrangement at our house. I can’t remember what it was from. It had sunflowers, white roses, and other floral and greenery that I can’t name. There will be another photo from this floral arrangement that will be available in the future. When this arrived at our home, naturally, I had to take pictures. We have always had red roses but never had a white rose before, so I had the opportunity to take some photos and I took it. But with these photos, I wasn’t satisfied with the background or surrounding area of the flowers. So, when I was editing, I opened Adobe Photoshop and selected the flower as the subject, inversed it, and turned the background black. Then I adjusted the exposure, vibrance, highlights, whites, darks, shadows, and maybe added some texture. And this is the final result. Like I said before, not much of a backstory, but the picture is beautiful.
I know these blogs are on the short side, but I don’t want to take up a whole lot of your time. Especially on photos where there just isn’t a backstory to it. I hope you’re enjoying them so far. I am enjoying going back with my photos and writing about them. I’ll see y’all next week.
Go after your dreams. Whatever they may be.
